On behalf of Unifeeder, MARPRO Group is looking for an Operations Coordinator to Network & Operations department.
Unifeeder, a worldwide company headquartered in Aarhus, is a rapidly developing provider of the best-connected feeder and shortsea network in Europe. Due to continued growth and the ambition of becoming the market leader in its field by 2025, Unifeeder has an ongoing need for experienced and motivated team members.
As Operations Coordinator, you will be coordinating port- and terminal calls of the approx. 40 vessels Unifeeder operates in Northern Europe. You will be a part of a team of 4-5 people, working closely together with our offices in Copenhagen, Gdynia and Hamburg as well as other teams in Network & Operations in Aarhus.
The work environment is characterized by an informal tone in a dynamic workplace where deadlines and schedules dictate a high-speed execution. A structured and committed work effort across geographies, colleagues, terminals and vessels is needed to secure a high quality.
The tasks and responsibilities of the Operations Coordinator primarily consists of:
- Coordination: This includes daily coordination between internal departments to ensure effective and timely planning, and external coordination with terminals, vessels etc.
- Optimization: We have a constant focus on optimizing and analyzing to ensure optimal vessel performance during seapassage and port stays, e.g. routes, bunker consumption, idle time, pilot productivity etc.
- Partnering: Building good relationships and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders is key to identify areas of improvements and ensure Unifeeder’s vessels are operated optimally.
- Data validation: We want to strengthen our databases and processes for data-based decision making, which means exploring efficient ways to gather and work with data will be a focus area for the Coordination Team.
Professional qualifications:
- A relevant maritime educational background
- Sailing experience, preferably in a senior position onboard a feeder container vessel
- Good communication skills – experience with handling conflicts and maintaining relationships
- Knowledge of container stowage and dangerous goods handling
- Full professional proficiency in English
