If you have a technical background, an understanding of emissions technology, or experience with marine or land-based emission sensors, this job may be a great fit for you.
On behalf of ME Production, MARPRO Group is seeking a Technical Engineer for the Scrubber Service department. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing service visits for non-MEP scrubber emission sensors.
About the company
ME Production, located in Frederikshavn, specializes in developing, manufacturing, selling, and servicing marine scrubbers for ships. As a system supplier of our own products, we maintain all necessary expertise in-house. Our company also operates in the marine gearbox and marine heat pump industries, with various exciting projects in both maritime and land-based systems.
About the job
You will work closely with our marine scrubber systems, a product line that is experiencing significant growth in both service and sales. Initially, you’ll receive hands-on training at our office, at shipyards or during service visits world-wide, learning in-depth about our scrubber systems. This will involve extensive travelling to build the foundation you need to support customers effectively. ME Production ensures a thorough onboarding process, introducing you to all facets of the company. Once training is complete, extensive travelling is expected.
What to expect in your role
As part of a dedicated service team, you’ll experience a fast-paced work environment where two days are never the same. Initially, the job will be primarily office-based in Denmark, focusing on proactive outreach to non-MEP customers as you help establish and build the Non-MEP Service department. Your previous experience with emission sensors that measure SO₂, CO₂, pH, PAH, and turbidity will be an asset.
You’ll coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to achieve profitable outcomes and high levels of customer satisfaction. Typical tasks include working with customers to identify necessary spare parts based on a pre-service checklist, processing orders within our ERP system, and arranging shipment to the customer’s preferred location. Emission measurement is critical for our customers, making your role central to the success of our systems.
You’ll collaborate closely with logistics, including procurement, warehousing, and shipping, and work with regional Service Managers to ensure that support, quality, and timely delivery exceed customer expectations. You’ll also improve existing processes and methods and will own global service coordination for all emission sensor visits.
ME Production will provide necessary housing in Denmark, with employment terms governed by a Danish contract.
Skills and Qualifications
In this role, you can expect a varied workday filled with different and engaging tasks, requiring a high level of cross-functional collaboration and ownership of responsibilities. Ideal qualifications include:
