De uitdaging

In deze rol geef jij Maritime & Offshore NL een krachtige stem in het publieke debat. Nationaal zorg je dat we zichtbaar zijn in de media. Je speelt proactief in op de actualiteit, bouwt relaties met journalisten en vertaalt inhoudelijke dossiers naar scherpe verhalen met nieuwswaarde.

Internationaal zorg je voor exposure van onze leden als zij meegaan met handelsmissies en beurzen. Je maakt per land een PR-plan, legt perscontacten in doellanden en positioneert Nederlandse bedrijven als innovators op wereldniveau. Dit doe je vanuit het mooie kantoor op een A-locatie in Rotterdam.

Daarnaast geef je communicatieadvies aan collega’s en afdelingen. Je denkt mee op strategisch niveau, zet zelf plannen op en coördineert de uitvoering. Bij afwezigheid van de teamleider neem jij tijdelijk het voortouw in het communicatieteam. Je bent dus een zelfstandige denker én doener.

Wat breng je mee?

·       Minimaal 5 jaar ervaring in PR of communicatie

·       Je bent strategisch én praktisch ingesteld

·       Je hebt ervaring met mediacontacten en weet hoe je nieuws maakt

·       Je kunt maatschappelijke thema’s vertalen naar publicitaire kansen

·       Je schrijft uitstekend in Nederlands én Engels

·       Je hebt bij voorkeur ervaring met internationale PR of exportpromotie

·       Bekendheid met tools zoals Meltwater, CMS en CRM is een pre

·       Je bent in staat tijdelijk het communicatieteam aan te sturen wanneer nodig

Make the maritime sector visible in political The Hague as well as on the world stage - Are you a strategically strong PR professional who makes a difference in the media? Do you see it as a challenge to make an innovative industry visible to politicians, journalists, and the international trade press? And can you temporarily lead the communications team in the team leader's absence? Then we are looking for you.

The Challenge

In this role, you will give Maritime & Offshore NL a strong voice in the public debate. Nationally, you will ensure our visibility in the media. You will proactively respond to current events, build relationships with journalists, and translate substantive dossiers into sharp, newsworthy stories.

Internationally, you will ensure exposure for our members when they participate in trade missions and trade fairs. You will develop a PR plan for each country, establish press contacts in target countries, and position Dutch companies as global innovators. You will do this from our attractive office in a prime location in Rotterdam.

You will also provide communications advice to colleagues and departments. You contribute strategically, develop plans independently, and coordinate their implementation. In the team leader's absence, you will temporarily take the lead in the communications team. You are therefore an independent thinker and a doer.

 What do you bring?

·       At least 5 years of experience in PR or communications

·       You are strategic and practical

·       You have experience with media contacts and know how to create news

·       You can translate social issues into publicity opportunities

·       You write excellently in both Dutch and English

·       Experience with international PR or export promotion is preferred

·       Familiarity with tools such as Meltwater, CMS, and CRM is a plus

·       You are able to temporarily manage the communications team when needed
