What will you be doing?
The Project Engineer is responsible for the coordination, planning, engineering outcome and timely delivery of all project deliverables as set at the start of the project and the basis of design.
You will check if all necessary information/data is available to start the project and you will contact clients if information is missing, unclear or when extra data is needed.
Additionally you will cooperate within the project team in a supporting role to finalize project deliverables within the time frame set, you will prepare technical reports and calculation notes as well as system layouts, detailed drawings and schematics based on instructions from the (senior) Project Engineer and inform them once finalized.
You will be responsible for project deliverables and communication with the Client on small to medium sized projects, you are able to plan and prioritize your own, and team, activities to comply with the deadlines and meet the required milestones and results.
Professional Competencies
BA/MA level in a technical maritime discipline
Familiar with most common ship’s Class Society rules and regulations
3-5+ years of experience in a similar role
Knowledge of and experience with most common marine engineering and 2D/3D CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, FEMAP, GHS, DNV Nauticus)
Take care of the actual engineering and preparing 2&3D basic and detailed technical drawings and/or thoroughly reviewing drawings prepared by draftsmen
Analytical, quality oriented, systematic and result driven
Excellent written reporting skills
Accurate and efficient
Personal qualifications
Strong command of the English language (both written and verbal)
Good communication, planning and organizational skills
Ability to plan ahead
Respect classified documentation and NDA agreements if applicable
Ability to work both independent and as part of a team
Able to work under time pressure
Ability to travel and work abroad
