On behalf of DP World’s Shipping Solutions (formerly Unifeeder A/S), MARPRO Group is looking for a Shipping Desk Agent for the office in Gdynia, Poland.

You will report to the Team Leader Shipping Desk of the company.

The job

As a Shipping Desk Agent, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient coordination of transport operations. You will be responsible for strategically booking shipments through optimal routing and vigilantly monitoring shipment timelines to secure timely and efficient dispatch.

Your day-to-day work involves conducting daily capacity planning, forecasting, and coordinating vessel cargo readiness to ensure smooth operational flow. You will manage essential data within port and customs systems, including creating prebookings and handling container releases.

In this role, clear and timely communication with various departments is vital, enabling you to support performance and maximize operational return while ensuring seamless transport order settlements in alignment with customer agreements.

Professional qualifications

• An educational background in transport, logistics, maritime studies, or a related field

• Minimum 2 years of experience from the maritime industry or another relevant sector (shipping, logistics and transportation)

• A proficiency in MS Excel and basic knowledge of IT and computer systems

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Personal characteristics

• Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving skills

• Proactive mindset with the ability to improve internal processes and strengthen inter‑departmental cooperation

• Thrives in a fast‑paced environment and manages pressure effectively

• Able to build and maintain solid professional relationships

• A strong interest in the maritime and logistics sector

• Residing in Poland with proficiency in both English and Polish
