Namens Cargo Care Solutions zoekt MARPRO Group een Service Engineer Cargo Access om vanuit de thuisbasis in Zwijndrecht de hele wereld over te reizen. Je rapporteert aan de Service Manager van het bedrijf.

De functie
Service Engineer bij Cargo Care Solutions ben je verantwoordelijk voor het onderhouden en repareren van cruciale vrachttoegangsapparatuur wereldwijd. Uw primaire focus ligt op het waarborgen dat schepen probleemloos en op een veilige en kostenefficiënte manier kunnen varen. U voert algemene inspecties en pre-dockinginspecties uit van de laadtoegangapparatuur om te waarborgen dat deze voldoet aan operationele normen en stilstand voorkomt. De rol omvat ook het uitvoeren van droogdokdiensten, het toezicht houden op en af en toe algemene reparaties, waaronder zowel geplande als noodreparaties, aan laadtoegangapparatuur voor diverse soorten vrachtschepen.

Extra verantwoordelijkheid:

· Een belangrijk deel van uw werk bestaat uit inspecties aan boord, waaronder controles van vaste vastmaakonderdelen, steunplaten, hoogte van rustkussens en rubberverpakking.

·     Na inspecties levert u een uitgebreid pre-dockingrapport voor de klant. Je bent ook verantwoordelijk voor het opstellen van een materiaallijst voor het werk.

·     U werkt binnen ons servicecontractkader en plant onderhoudsactiviteiten samen met onze klanten.

·     Tijdens droogdokperiodes kun je als supervisor optreden over het staalwerk van de luikendeksels en soms toezicht houden op het werk van een groot aantal mensen op de scheepswerf.

Professionele kwalificaties

·     Technische achtergrond, open voor zowel beginnende als ervaren servicetechnici.

·     Kennis van en ervaring met hydraulische systemen is vereist.

·     Kennis van staal lassen, lasprocedures en staalbewerking.

·     Ervaring met het beoordelen van de kwaliteit van staalwerk.

·     Interesse in de maritieme industrie.

·     Vermogen om duidelijk en vloeiend in het Engels te communiceren.

·     Beheersing van het Nederlands of andere aanvullende taalvaardigheden zijn een pré.

On behalf of Cargo Care Solutions, MARPRO Group is looking for a Service Engineer Cargo Access to work from the home base in Barendrecht. You will report to the Service Manager of the company.

The job
As a Service Engineer at Cargo Care Solutions, you are responsible for maintaining and repairing crucial cargo access equipment globally. Your primary focus is on ensuring vessels can sail trouble-free in a safe and cost-efficient way. You will perform general inspections and pre-docking inspections of cargo access equipment to ensure they meet operational standards and prevent downtime. The role also includes executing drydocking services, supervising and occasionally performing general repairs, including both planned and emergency repairs, on cargo access equipment for a variety of cargo vessel types.

Additional responsibility:

• A significant part of your work is performing on-board inspections, including checks of fixed lashing components, rest pads, rest pad height and rubber packing.

• After inspections, you provide an extensive pre-docking report for the client. You are also responsible for creating a bill of materials for the work.

• You will work within our service contract framework, scheduling maintenance activities together with our clients.

• During drydocking periods, you may act as a supervisor over the steelwork of the hatch covers and sometimes oversee the work of a large number of people at the shipyard.

Professional qualifications

• Technical background, open for both starting and experienced service engineers.

• Knowledge of and experience with hydraulic systems is required.

• Knowledge of steel welding, welding procedures, and steelwork.

• Experience in assessing the quality of steelwork.

• Interest in the maritime industry.

• Ability to communicate clearly and fluently in English.

• Command of Dutch or any additional language skills are considered beneficial.
