On behalf of our client, MARPRO Group is looking for an Unmanned Vessel Control Officer with solid navigation skills and experience for the office in Copenhagen and other company location in central Zealand.

You will be part of a dedicated and expanding unit within a larger corporate group, currently building specialised capabilities in the maritime surface and subsea security domain. Operating in a dynamic and fast‑moving environment, the organisation manages both scheduled and ad hoc tasks, requiring strong adaptability, technical proficiency and a solution‑driven mindset. The job

The position involves actively steering and controlling unmanned surface vessels during live operations, ensuring safe navigation, correct vessel behaviour and high‑quality operational performance at any time. You will be responsible for keeping vessels, sensors and IT systems fully operational, performing essential pre‑sail checks, and reacting quickly and confidently to any issues that arise during operations.

You will carry out safe and compliant operations in Danish waters. Working closely with Engineers and fellow Operators, you will help refine procedures, improve workflows and enhance system performance. You will support the entire mission cycle, from planning and execution to post‑mission review, ensuring that every operation meets the organisation’s safety and quality standards.

Professional qualifications

• You are educated Master Mariner or Dual Officer

• Proven sailing experience preferably with experience from fast‑moving vessels

• Experience with navigation planning, vessel handling and operational decision‑making

• Strong understanding of maritime rules and safety

• IT-savvy, using modern digital systems as part of daily operations

• Technologically curious and quick to adopt new systems, tools and workflows

• Positive, solution‑focused attitude with a “can‑do” mindset

• Fluency in English, eligibility to work within the EU and have EU security clearance
