On behalf of Rohde Nielsen, MARPRO Group is seeking a Hydrographic Surveyor connected to the Copenhagen or Grenaa offices, with flexibility to work remotely across Europe.
The job
The position of Hydrographic Surveyor is part of the Survey department, reporting directly to the Head of Survey. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting bathymetric and multibeam surveys, as well as supporting marine construction operations worldwide in close collaboration with the project department.
You will work closely with the Head of Survey and fellow surveyors to ensure accurate data collection, as well as the mobilisation and calibration of survey equipment. The role requires flexibility and the ability to work in challenging weather conditions across various international locations.
The position is based on a fixed rotation of three weeks onboard followed by three weeks at home. While offshore, the standard working schedule is up to 12-hour shifts, depending on operational and weather conditions. Periods of downtime may occur due to weather, but readiness to support operations remains essential.
Life on board is characterised by modern vessels with high standards, offering good living conditions, quality catering, and access to facilities such as a gym, contributing to a comfortable and supportive offshore environment.
Additional responsibilities:
Executing all kinds of survey operations in line with internal procedures and external/client specifications.
Processing, documentation, and reporting of hydrographic survey data.
Maintenance of measuring equipment
Professional qualifications
Hold a surveying degree in Ocean Technology, Oceanography, Hydrography, or something similar, or equivalent through experience.
Experience with marine constructions operations preferably large scale.
Advantage if you have experience with bathymetric/multibeam surveying activities.
Advantage if you have knowledge of Teledyne PDS and AutoCAD software.
