On behalf of Maersk Tankers, MARPRO Group is looking for a Claims Analyst for their office in Singapore

The job

At Maersk Tankers, claims management is more than resolving disputes. It is about protecting value, strengthening commercial relationships and supporting successful voyage execution across a global business.

As part of the Claims team in Singapore, you will work closely with Chartering, Operations, Finance and Legal teams while supporting our global commercial activities. In this role, you will manage voyage-related claims, optimize recoveries, minimize financial exposure and safeguard the Company’s contractual rights.

You will play an important role in ensuring the timely resolution of claims, enabling effective commercial decision making and contributing to the overall performance of the business.

You will be reporting to the Head of Freight & Claims at the Maersk Tanker office in Singapore

Professional qualifications

• You have a relevant educational background within Shipping, Maritime Business, Finance, Economics or a similar commercial discipline

• You have hands-on experience with freight collections, laytime and related claims, ideally from the tanker segment

• You have a solid understanding of Charter Party terms, voyage calculations and commercial claims management

• You have experience working with IMOS or similar shipping systems

• You bring strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to navigate complex commercial discussions

• You are experienced in managing multiple claims and priorities simultaneously, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution

• You are commercially minded and solution-oriented, with a natural focus on protecting value and finding the right outcome

• You are proactive and take ownership, following matters through to resolution

• You are a collaborative team player, confident in contributing your perspective and challenging when needed
